This starts at the end of the Maurader's fifth year, and then continues on. There is a ton of shipping in this story, but no smut, it's mostly fluff. We see how James and Lily start to get together, why Remus is cautious about starting a relationship with Tonks later in his life, what happens to make Sirius so bitter about everything, why Peter is the way he is, and we find out why Voldemort thinks it's Harry on that fateful night instead of Neville. And there's a freaking lot of fight scenes.

James seems to have just learnt that life doesn't treat you fairly when He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named's advances means that you can't trust anyone, sometimes not even yourself. After a student at Hogwarts was attacked and hospitalized by an unknown attacker, Lily Evans soon learns that she needs to decipher the mysteries surrounding those closest to her.
Though, trying to focus on helping the Wizarding World to fight the Darkest wizard of the century is tough when her whole year can't get enough of those odd teenage things. Like sex, dating and hatred.

They can’t really say the don’t know how it happened, but it would be a lie to say they did too. Emm tries to track it back one day, but things get jumbled and then Dorcas’ lips are on her neck and she stops caring.
The truth is- and they can all agree to this- it was probably Mary that started it. It simply made sense. No one would ever doubt that Mary was at the center of whatever it was they were. She was their soft and touchy emotional center even before they became this. The blame, or thanks, fell to Mary.
