Summary
There is another garden, in India. These are the women of that garden, over two generations, Mary's mother and ayah, and both their two daughters. In the end, I'm afraid, this is only where the story begins, but I hope it opens up the original story and takes us out into the world beyond the secret gardens.
I'm afraid the closest I've been to India is the websites I used researching this, so if there are any glaring botanical, linguistic or cultural errors, let me know and I'll fix them.

Normally, original main characters in fanfiction are anathema to me. But this was very sweet, and very worth the read.

Cold and precise and full of intense desire; hits exactly on what it is to be that horribly focused on laying bare a secret.
