In the perfect relationships, people come to a crossroads at the same time, looking for the same thing, at just the right moment, and that's all they need; they fit together like two pieces of one puzzle and they just work.
But, sometimes, people meet at a crossroads looking for the same things at the wrong time, or the wrong things at the right time. They, too, are pieces of the same puzzle, but they need that connecting piece, that last straw to draw everything into place.
(Also known as, the time Clint, Phil, and their wife are all married and they have to break it to everyone on the team, besides Natasha, because Natasha knows everything.)

Summary
Clint's method of dealing with the aftermath of Loki's mind control is to completely avoid dealing with it. This is not tremendously effective and his teammates are concerned about his declining ability to function, so they decide to intervene. There is, of course, a plan, but no one seems to be sure what it is, other than that everyone else is wrong about it. At least all of them want to help...

The avengers, who are now much older, no longer have the strength to handle a battle like this. in responce, Nick Fury, the director of S.H.E.I.L.D, calls in the children of the avengers to train them to fight and help track down loki. The only question is: are they balanced enough to fill the shoes of there parents?

Bruce Banner's life since the Battle of New York had consisted of being an Avenger...and working feverishly to try NOT to be one. Recently, however, as he reluctantly admits his alter ego is useful to have around in a fight, his research has turned towards being able to control the Other Guy when he has to let the monster off its leash. Although he refuses to give up, it's not going well. His peace of mind isn't helped much at all by the presence of their lab assistant, who is entirely too confusing and hasn't the sense to be afraid of him.

Originally a fill posted at norsekink in response to the prompt:
"After the Avengers capture Loki at the end of the movie, they lock him up as a precaution before shipping him off to Asgard. And being the good guys, they decide to give him the chance to bathe and dress in clean clothes instead of sleeping in his own dirty rags.
The problem is, without the whole battle gear and the drawn and mean look, Loki looks surprisingly young, which prompts the Avengers to ask Thor just how old Loki really is. Of course Loki is centuries old, but Thor tells them that in human standard, Loki would still be considered underage!
Cue to horrified Avengers who wants to know exactly what sort of crappy home life Loki must have had to end up like this before even reaching adulthood."
It rather spiralled from there into a behemoth, now in the process of being edited and hopefully cleaned of glaring plotholes! Updated daily.
