This was the first Due South story I ever finished, way back in 1999. My writing style has changed a lot since then, and so have I, but I wanted to post this anyway. The story is named after the Fred Rose song that gave me the idea. The beginning of the story takes place between Seeing is Believing and Perfect Strangers. It's a sweet (I'll be honest here, sometimes too sweet) and optimistic story about love lasting throughout time. It's unapologetically Fraser/Thatcher, so if that's not your thing, you probably should stay away.

I wrote this right around 2002 or so. I didn't like the ending of "Perfect Strangers" so I decided to write my own. I think that the canon ending must have hurt Meg deeply. If you watch her instead of Fraser throughout the scene, you can see her open up just as Fraser is shutting down. I read a story that was similar to this and was written a couple of years ago. I guess great minds think alike. :)
