"I first came to Corellia on the trail of the killers of my father and, for reasons which don't need exploring at this juncture, I have remained, attached as liaison to the Jedi Temple."

Just a typical case fic, the usual shenanigans you might find Fraser and Ray involved in (in a galaxy far, far away).

    Summary

Approximately eight years after the end of the series, Meg Thatcher returns to Canada and decides to rejoin the RCMP. In doing so, she meets some faces from the past and finds herself better remembered than she had anticipated. But well-wishing, while necessary, is not sufficient, and she is not the only one who has been altered by the passage of time and additional experiences. Friendship with any Fraser, as both Ray Kowalski and Buck Frobisher well know, is never entirely straightforward.

    Summary

As it turns out, Benton Fraser and Margaret Thatcher DID go further than a kiss on top of a train in southern Manitoba and again under the stars in King’s Creek, thanks to adrenaline and the possibility of her reassignment hanging over their heads. When she returns to Chicago for a week’s vacation, she seeks Ben out. Ray, as Ben's partner both on and off the job, recognizes that something has to be done about things that were left unsaid. After a few minutes of quick thinking, he formulates an interesting proposal.

    Summary

Near Wild Heaven was, almost literally, the first thing I wrote, and certainly the first long thing I ever wrote. I worked on this off and on for over a year and did not write it in any kind of linear fashion.

Part III was actually (mostly) written second (June 1999), in part because I was stuck on character motivations in the first part. It's admittedly rough, and could have done with more work, although I did fix a lot of the (popular at the time, I swear!) dialect.

As I said in Part I, I'm posting this partly because I had such a great time writing it (in fact, there are still parts of it that make me laugh), because I learned so much by/while writing it, and also because it's sort of "historical": a lot of the tropes in dS fandom did not exist when this was written (hard to believe, but there were only 27 F/K stories on Hexwood when I came into the fandom, and only about 5 of those had any kind of M/M sex!), and I thought it would be fun for other people to see how we earlier writers managed such things as tropes before they were tropes. But, in essence, you are reading a "first novel," with all the alarm bells that ought to ring in your head.

This was, almost literally, the first thing I wrote, and certainly the first long thing I ever wrote. (Coming to Terms was the first "short" story I wrote and posted.) I worked on this off and on for over a year and did not write it in any kind of linear fashion. The first part was actually finished last, in part because I was stuck in getting them to a plausible misunderstanding that was necessary for the plot (such as it was). It's rough, and could have done with more work, although I did fix a lot of the (popular at the time, I swear!) dialect.
