Summary
Outside the Slytherin dungeons, most people thought quite well of Charles Xavier. He was an exceptional student, a little reserved but impeccably polite to everyone, no matter their House or station, and never put on airs unlike the heirs of certain other old magical families.
In fact, his fellow students were occasionally to be heard wondering aloud how the Sorting Hat had placed him in the snake pit at all.
The year is 1949, and Erik Lehnsherr's in his seventh year at Hogwarts, as yet unaware that his world is about to change.

Summary
Howard found the Ivy League lecture circuit rather tedious as the years went on. However, there were still some perks. The adoration was nice.
The adoration was very nice when it came from attractive, wide-eyed undergrads like the young man who was waiting for him outside after he finished his annual talk at Harvard. They meet when Charles is 19 and in need of a favour.
