Summary
Doktor Karl Scmidt(Sesbastian Shaw) worked closely with other Nazi scientists such as Johann Schmidt, the Red Skull. It is in his care that the Doktor leaves Erik for further "experiments" and "training" when he cannot continue the work personally. Being in the grip of the Nazi's nightmare subdivision, HYDRA, puts Erik in place to be found by a recently made Captain America on his first rescue mission. Now instead of being trapped by his tormentors, Erik finds himself cared for by a different sort of human in the forms of Howard Stark, Peggy Carter, and Steve Rogers as he discovers his powers and himself

She turns up in the worst places. Occasionally, this is an aggravation that Methos spends days, weeks, and centuries grumbling about as it requires him effecting some sort of grandiose rescue involving plans which might make the Trojans weep with envy. This is, however, only occasional. Rare even. More often than he will admit, and less often than she pointedly does not point out, it's means she's saving him.

Erik Lehnsherr's name has been drawn to compete as an alpha tribute and he is set solely on survival, but he hadn't exactly counted on Charles, the mysterious omega tribute that isn't playing by any of the rules. Hunger Games AU.

Summary
Daemon AU: When he was a child, Erik was forced to split from his daemon. It’s only when he meets Charles that he thinks he might have finally found someone who he could safely leave her with. Missing scenes from canon and a few re-written scenes, plus what happened after. Somewhat loose interpretation of Pullman’s ideas.
Was originally for this prompt, but grew way beyond the bounds of it: Schmidt has recently acquired another metal blade with a too-sharp edge, a blade of intercision, after Erik destroyed the last one (but too late). Erik and his daemon decide to separate on their own terms, rather than Schmidt's. No barren wastelands, no area daemons can't cross -- it's just their willpower against the world.
Warnings: child abuse, violence, homophobia, animal cruelty, supporting character deaths (as in canon)
