Summary
Resolution in character; inspired by the characters' choices and motivations as written for the screen. In transforming (pun intended) and refining GoLion into Lion Voltron the writers created a children's show at once written in the broadest of strokes, with touches of great subtlety.
A very familiar scenario provides the structure for a story of love and of outer and inner conflicts left unresolved at original Lion Voltron's end (including the events of Fleet of Doom)-most notably those of Prince Lotor, Voltron's greatest character.
Voltron always had and still has the potential to be something truly great, if there were confidence enough in the unexplored possibilities of the original show.
