Modern AU:
Thorin is a retired spy and he intends to stay just that way. He left for a reason and wants nothing to do with that life anymore. There's already too much blood on his hands. One night he gets a call from a man named Bilbo, who tells him that there is a new criminal named Smaug. He is planning to destroy all of the United Kingdom. It's up to Thorin to gather the members of his old company and stop this new evil. But Thorin ends up forcing Bilbo out of his boring office life to help them out. It's sure to be quite an unexpected adventure for everyone.
