Summary
Homestuck/Apocalypse AU. On an Alternia inhabited by trolls and humans, it was prophesied years ago that when the birth of the Son of the Messiah came to be, the world had only five sweeps remaining until the end. A baby boy is found on the steps of the MatriChurch, and is given the name Karkat Vantas--while a necklace of the Signless is found around his neck. The sign of the Messiah. Hidden away by his surrogate mother-sister Kanaya and her fellow Sisters, it is hoped that the prophecy won't come true--but when meteors are sighted on his fourteenth birthday, and demons and angels come a-knocking, the end seems to be coming, and there are two fates ahead of Karkat: kidnapped by the demons, who use his power to burn the world, or kidnapped by the angels, who use his power to 'cleanse' the world. As a last ditch effort, Kanaya elicits the Seer of Light's help, whose cousin is the Knight of Time--a Knight who will be paid handsomely if he can safely escort Karkat to the mysterious Altar of Blood on the other side of the planet, perhaps the only possible third option that will stop The End. The only problem? It's looking like Dave's falling for the New Messiah, whose blood will be spilled regardless of the option they choose.

Twelve Stalkers, who once went upon their divergent paths, have reconvened slowly when one of the missing members resurfaces alive and well (for some definition of the word). When a path to the fabled Pripyat comes to light, they will be forced to work together once more if they want to have any chance of standing against the brewing storm on the horizon. None of them were born this way. The posters say they are. They say that these are the children that god has forsaken. The thing is, some of them aren't even children. The ringleader himself is a freak like them, just another discarded toy of the big boss and his pretty assistant.
Vriska doesn't go out in front of a crowd that often, and when she does it's to be paraded and laughed at. The real performers are freaks like the patchwork violinist Rose, or the cat girl Nepeta with her acrobatics and after-show specials in the back tent.
Rose takes her privileges for granted as the so-called princess. She's the Ringleader's plaything and it's gotten her far... perhaps too far.
Dirk Strider just takes care of the "freaks", a caretaker and basically doing charity work. Too bad the big boss has some big plans for this pretty boy. -
