Summary
Charles has been the personal Pet of high-profile businessman Sebastian Shaw, whose impending marriage to Emma Frost comes with certain conditions-- namely, that he ditch the Pet. At Azazel's suggestion, Erik purchases Charles's contract in an attempt to glean information about Shaw's not-quite-legal banking practices. Azazel is surprisingly unconcerned when that doesn't quite play out how they expect it to.

Summary
Erik’s mind noticed things like how Charles’ brown hair caught the light from the lamps on the table besides him, how fair his skin was, and apparently, now and then, resolved to cataloguing the colour of his eyes – altering between comparing them to skies and seas, and settling on neither. It would all have been very amusing, if it hadn’t been for four small realisations.
One: Erik was in love with him.
Two: Erik didn’t even seem to completely realise it himself, because - as far as Charles could tell - he had never experienced anything of the kind before.
Three: Charles was less surprised than he’d expect given the situation at hand, and – to be perfectly honest – it felt more like a confirmation rather than a realisation. Which was perhaps the most troubling (he’d have to examine that sentiment later).
And four: Erik’s mind reeked with suspicion.

When 19-year-old genius Charles Xavier starts his teaching job at M Institute he expects a lot, but not becoming the unofficial psychiatrist and apparent guide of the interesting Erik Lehnsherr, who is two years his senior and being difficult.

Madeline "Ariel" Plourde is a mutant with the ability to combust her hands and feet into flames, and is able to levitate herself. Practicing her new found abilities, she gets caught in the act and captured by the Mutant Response Division. In captivity, she meets and begins to befriend three other mutants before they are rescued by the X-men. After the whole pheonix fiasco however, these four mutants and one human will band up to create their own vigilante superhero group and fight all crime, no matter how petty the crime is or who the victim is.
This story outlines how the team came to be and eventually how the team will cope under stressful situations such as M Day or the Avengers vs. X-men events.- Words:

Meanwhile, somebody is feeding SHIELD false information and when Tony Stark is pointed out as the villain, the ball starts rolling out of control. Steve has limited time to juggle the Avengers, SHIELD, Tony and possibly all of New York. He also has a strong belief that there is no such thing as zombies.

Prince Charles Xavier is still Deputy Commander of the TEF Heartsteel and life has been great ever since he and his best friend and Commander of the Heartsteel, War-Prince Erik Lehnsherr, finally got all of their feelings out on the table. Better than great, really.
It doesn't help, though, that the Nyrulians are a bit sore over him blowing up their ship, and a war is brewing. And because Charles has that kind of luck, they're in the middle of it.
