Commander Gillian Shepard, N7 Special Forces, British Royal Navy, has been tasked with a unique assignment in dangerous times: Get behind enemy lines and obtain valuable information vital to Britain's (and the Alliance's) survival in the war against the Nazis. But from the first, she realizes that the fight is not quite what it seems, and could ultimately force her to make some difficult, and unpopular, decisions. Set during the Second World War, this story follows the events of the Mass Effect games through the time period roughly 1937 through the end of the war and immediately following.
