Summary
Most people would count going to the opera and being serenaded as grand romantic gestures. For John Watson, it’s just Sherlock’s Italian phase. At least, that's what he's trying to tell himself, because Sherlock being romantic is even harder to understand than the Italian. Lestrade looks on in glee, Molly looks on in despair, and Mycroft meddles as usual. Linguistic fluff and misunderstandings abound.
Also known as 'Sherlock speaks Italian', i.e. he really does. Part 2.1 (Romantic Version) of Planet Sherlock - can be taken into account or not! Chronologically follows 'Voulez Vous' i.e. Sherlock's French phase.Last bookmarked by miriemirie

Summary
It’s an ordinary day at 221B apart from the fact that Sherlock is speaking in French. What John doesn’t know is that Sherlock has an ulterior motive. What Sherlock doesn’t know is that while John may not speak French, he’s almost fluent in Sherlock.
(NB! Sherlock actually is speaking in French. Now with annotated translations!)

Instead, he tried to think in Catalan: simple observations, like “the sea is grey” and “the sailors are loud” and “I am wet”.
