Summary
Yuugi Mutou of Domino City is a quiet boy with few friends who spends a lot of his time at lunch being more concerned about games than grades. As a whole he is normal, but not very fortunate, and spends all his free time hanging out with his small group of friends.
However, his luck changes one day when he takes a trip with his Grandpa and two best friends to a bigger city not so far away. While walking in the park alone he falls into the Fountain and is pulled into a world of magic where he is rescued from Terrors by the King of Solitary Faerie, who refers to himself as "Yami".
Soon he is caught up in far more than a simple quest to return home, and is burdened with a great destiny that he could never have anticipated in his wildest dreams.
