When Merlin dies, Arthur is left alone once more. But Merlin will never truly leave him, and has left Arthur a set of 9 letters each containing tasks for him to complete. Arthur begins a journey of self discovery, love and moving forward as he learns more and more about Merlin than he had ever known before.

Summary
Merlin and Morgana have spent six months in the dungeons in Arida, a far off kingdom to the north. They have their weak and their strong moments, and they always have each other. They are planning to escape, and upon their return to Camelot, Arthur and their friends notice that there's something... off... about the two. Merlin won't let anyone lay a finger on Morgana, and Morgana hardly allows anyone to even breathe on him.
While the witch and warlock's friends are trying to understand their fluctuating tendencies and odd behavior, they have to come to terms with what happened in those cells, and worry about how far their captor will be willing to go to get them back.
Secrets are nothing new to the two, but now there can be nothing hidden between them if they want to keep themselves, and Camelot, safe. And now a third party may come to play.
There's something... dangerous, lurking in Merlin and Morgana. A darkness they're fighting to escape. Can they? Or will they succumb to the darkness within them, and leave their destinies behind?
Nothing is as it seems in the city of Camelot. How will fate come to play? -

Post 5x13 Diamond of the Day Part 2 Alternate Ending. In which Gwaine holds on just long enough, and Morgana doesn’t get to Arthur and Merlin in time to stop them from reaching the Lake of Avalon to save Arthur's life.
The peace that arises following the Battle of Camlann will not last, though, and a new magical threat arises that isn't so happy about the defeat of Morgana- one that will threaten the future of Albion and the peaceful kingdom that Merlin and Arthur have so tirelessly worked to build. -

Merlin doesn't remember how he got in to driving, that's a lie actually. he does, he just doesn't remember how he got into lying about it. Now here he is, competing once again in the most dangerous series of races with no one but Will knowing, which use to be easy until Gwaine decided to give it a go leaving Merlin to compete against a friend and try to hide his identity so no one can stop him from getting the money he needs by winning.

Arthur has slept in Avalon, the otherworldly place just beyond the reach of magic for all but Merlin and his chosen, recovering from the injuries sustained in the battle at Camlann. Years have passed and times have changed and Hogwart’s school of Witchcraft and Wizardry has taken it’s place on the edge of the Lake of Avalon, unknown to modern witches and wizards. The world is in need of the Once and Future King to protect Albion again but to do that the immortal Merlin, the man that has learned to live backwards, must be there and he is nowhere to be found. It is now the job of Merlin’s Chosen. Only, Harry Potter thinks he’s going mental.
This is based on the mountains that are around the movie version of Hogwarts and the lake that Merlin takes Freya to in season 2 episode 9.
