    Summary

(While investigating mysterious crop deaths on Cygnia Minor, Jim encounters demons from his past, and has to deal with his growing feelings for his First Officer and the after-effects of the battle with Khan. A re-telling of Tarsus IV as explored in the Star Trek: TOS episode "The Conscience of the King". Set after the events of Star Trek: Into Darkness.)

Spock must’ve smelled it first, because he stopped walking and his “Captain” was more subdued than usual.

The breeze blew more strongly in their direction and Jim flinched subtly at the reek of decay—human decay, not the earthy, textural stench that was emanating from the dead crops. The two scents mixed together, in particular, made his stomach turn.

Bones made a face. “Well, shit.”

    Summary

Those eyes aren’t the right blue, Bones.

Groaning, Leonard threw himself back against the pillows, putting a hand over his eyes.

“Like I should give a good goddamn about what colour those damn eyes are when they’ll be dead--” Leonard’s throat caught, and he sighed. “I love you, Jocelyn.” He breathed to the picture, reaching for it.

Be careful, Bones. Love is death and danger wrapped in fever and madness. Dreams are sweet until you wake up and realize your whole life’s passed you by.

“Your kind of livin’ ain’t mine.”

Did I miss the part where you actually started living?

    “You’re a damn hallucination.”

    You’re an imaginary friend.

Pavel feels like the only single being on the Enterprise - very noticeable at a New Year's Eve party. He's probably the only one without someone to kiss, or maybe he isn't. Terrible summery aside, inspired by this post: http://trekmas.tumblr.com/post/71491728041/

    Summary

“There’s no one I’m happy to see tonight,” McCoy grumbled instead. “Besides, I’m never happy to see you.”

“I’d be more wounded if I thought you meant that,” Kirk laughed.

“I’ll just get you the usual then,” McCoy said, shaking his head and looking over at the newcomer. “And what can I get you?”

“A glass of milk, please,” the man said and McCoy blinked at him, and blinked again to make sure someone was actually sitting in his pub asking for a glass of milk.
