Summary
In 2371, Commander Barbara Havers is assigned as First Officer to the USS Providence under the command of Captain Thomas Lynley. Jake Sisko finds himself stranded at Starfleet Academy during his father's time, on an unlikely mission to keep an outbreak of tribble breeding under control. After Kathryn Janeway stumbles across him by accident, she decides to help him under the guise of completing a project for her exobiology class run by the brilliant and beautiful Lieutenant Beverly Howard. Meanwhile, she tries to prevent her lab partner - Benjamin Sisko - from discovering the existence of his future son, and struggles with an attraction to her instructor she doesn't realize is returned.
