Post-apocalyptic Chicago: Harry Dresden, the itinerant Winter Knight, is contacted by the errant Sheriff Karrin Murphy. Something is brutally murdering people in Wisconsin, and the local militia is driving off anyone who tries to check it out. It's up to Harry to root out the threat-- and figure out where his loyalties lie, between the Faerie Court he sold himself to, and the people he's always tried to save.

Summary
Thomas spent his entire life trying to more than just an Incubus of the White Court - until he gets captured a Skinwalker while helping his brother. The torture changes him and he returns unwilling to fight his demon any longer. He feeds and fucks to satisfy his needs, but it's just filler.
Meanwhile, Harry held to his promise and waited, but his patience has run thin. Now Thomas has to deal with Harry, who is discovering that their feelings for one another aren't exactly brotherly, while trying to save him.
