Notes
What I really like about this story is that the anger is absent. A rarity for this pairing and one I like, Angel's not a dickhead and Lindsey's not an obstreperous ball of sarcasm; in other words, a story where they start out all grown up. A bit of a bittersweet ending, but that is where you come in dear reader.

Summary
Mary Shelley recounts to a friend the events of the summer of 1816, spent near Lake Geneva with her husband and Lord Byron - and Lady Darla and her husband. In our world Byron and Polidori effectively invented the modern vampire story while Mary was writing the first draft of Frankenstein. There could well have been more direct inspiration for the vampire tale, though.

This is the year after Sunnydale, told in bits and pieces with the changing of the seasons. Life goes on, even when we don't expect it to. For Giles, Buffy, Dawn, Xander and Willow, it turns out that some things stay the same even when everything is changing. It's time to come home.
