AU Camp fic!!
Legends and stories of Bonded and Potentials have been passed down from generation to generation in certain families. It was with that knowledge and faith that Patrick Kane figured it out years ago what exactly Camp Whatchamacallit was for them. It was special, secret. Some people had never and would never hear of it. The summer camp had several Bonded pairs and Pat was lucky enough to be one of them and to be able to witness the Potentials and Bondings happening around him.
The call of a Bonded pair was somewhere in the blood, much like the stories of old. Pat had traced his own lineage as far back as he could, and then followed the off-shoots. Jonny had sat with him, patiently waiting, as he had made the connections. Sitting in his family library, Pat carefully traced the lines down.
Sometimes it sucked, like when it was a friend getting hurt at being Rejected. But sometimes... Sometimes the Potential turned into something amazing.
