Summary
Bruce Wayne was born wrong, born terribly, terribly wrong. Thankfully, he has an Other, a mirror copy in the form of Jack Napier. The two think alike so perfectly that it is no surprise upon Bruce's return to Gotham City, the two hatch a daring plan to rule their kingdom completely. But of course, it all goes downhill from there as the hero and villain pair find themselves company in a rogue gallery of sidekicks and costumed freaks that won't leave them alone. As their city rallies behind them in a bid to throw off crime, Bruce and Jack are left with but one choice; will they choose to rise or succumb to their own darkness?

The first time Bruce Wayne encounters the freshly rehabilitated Joker, he breaks his nose. He also sits him down, hands him a handkerchief, sets his broken nose with two quarters from Jack's wallet and buys him a drink with money from his own.
