Summary
"...be as you should be. Constant as the wind, endless as sand. Be as the feather to the wing, or the hand to the arm. If the star is to love the catfish, may it love the catfish in the river, for they were both made in gladness. Go and be as you should be, and love as you must love. Be as the feather or the hand, for this we have taught you."

Summary
Sam and Dean have never met anyone as unique as Castiel. The kid wearing a trench coat in the middle of summer introduced himself the day they moved in, and all three of them became instant friends. Then Dean and Cas start spending a lot of time together and Sam finds himself excluded. He doesn't blame Dean at first; it must be hard being 15 and never setting down roots long enough to make lasting friendships. But as time goes on and he sees less of Dean and Cas, Sam realizes it's even harder being 11.

Summary
AU: Castiel is on the road (saving people, helping things) when he meets Dean and realizes that his soul is different - and not just because he's the pastor's son.

Summary
The barista's back is turned - probably cleaning the machines, Dean thinks - and he slouches against the lacquered wood, clearing his throat. He bites back a chuckle when the barista jumps, spinning on his heel, and Dean finds himself looking up into what he thinks are the bluest eyes he's ever seen and god help him, he's drowning in the vast fucking ocean of them.
[An AU in which Castiel is a barista at a little coffee house that Dean finds quite by accident one day.]
