He slides open a nearby drawer, then pulls out a clean application paper. Handing it over to—(“What’s your name?” “Andrew.” “Ah.”)—to Andrew, Jesse points to the bottom and mumbles, “Fill it out. Sign here.” The smile he gets in return makes Jesse look away, and he resorts to reading the back of his pain killers while Andrew scrawls his information onto the paperwork. -
