This is positively adorable. I love how the author decided to take this stylistically. Rather than telling the story chronologically, the "moments" are mixed up so that the steadiness of the relationship varies. I feel the story makes a greater impact this way.

Summary
"The king sent me to get you," Merlin said, with a tone that implied strongly that he wasn't rolling his eyes where Arthur could see, but just wait until his back was turned. "He said you're to get changed into formal clothes and meet him in the Great Hall, there's a delegation coming from the Summer Court."

This story reads like a fairy tale, with all the elements of something truly epic and grand: elves, politics, trials of strength and valor, and most of all love. Written prior to Season 2, it offers an intelligent and engaging theory regarding Merlin's true heritage and consequently forces his secret out into the open. Many months have passed since I first read this story and it still remains one of the most original and just plain fun reads I've had the pleasure to stumble across.

This story makes me laugh, cry, and lament over the stupidity of boys in love. While the movie this story is based off of seems very superficial and is more a screwball comedy than anything else, this re-write takes everything so much deeper. The characters are very tangible and real—and the roller-coaster of feelings we're taken through are very natural. This is one of those stories I keep printed out in one of my desk drawers to pull out on a lazy day.

Every other week Arthur seems to go through a whole new batch of disposable knights. This story puts a stop to that and lets us get to know the lovable men who follow Arthur in battle. A competition for Merlin's affection proves to be just the push Arthur needs to make his own feelings known and after that it's all sweetness, good humor, and enough drama to keep you on the edge of your seat. This became an instant favorite of mine even before it was ever finished.

Chilling and brilliant. Shows wonderfully how ruthless the villages are. Kisame wasn't born, he was created, and Kirigakure will do anything secure their asset's loyalty to the village. My only criticism is that the OCs sound way too old to be 13yos- not old before their time, as they should be, but in a way that disturbs the suspension of disbelief.

This is what all romantic comedies strive to be. Whereas first part stands on its own as a reflection of just how much Arthur has grown since Merlin's arrival, the rest is a lot more personal as Arthur's actions prove beyond any doubt just how far he's willing to go to see Merlin happy. This is the story I read whenever I'm feeling a little discouraged, because it never fails to make me laugh.
