House Call was written for the Castle/Beckett kink meme prompt “Castle is forced to watch Beckett being tortured, hurt/comfort follows”. It was written from Lanie's pov. It was suggested that it would also be interesting to view the story from another perspective, and so 'On the Edge', the remixed version, was born, this time from Castle’s pov. It’s certainly been an interesting (if at times schizophrenic!) writing challenge, and I'd love to know what you think of it.
It’s not absolutely necessary to read House Call before reading this one, but it would probably help. Hope you enjoy!
