    Summary

An AU set among American expats in 1920s Paris. In Janice Rand’s experience, lesbians don't fall in love, so she puts her passion into her paintings and finds physical comforts where she can. Christine Chapel, a recently divorced socialite and accomplished hostess, hopes to recapture the magic of her first love without its problems. When their best friends become a couple, bringing them much together, the two are forced to confront their assumptions about romance, which leads them to a conclusion neither had anticipated.

Happy happy happy times! The year is 1920, and Our Heroes move to Gay Paree to be ridiculous bohemian sorts in the most delightful way.

The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together. ~Erma Bombeck

Christine Chapel was just trying to work and renovate her house in peace. She hadn’t counted on all of her friends deciding to collectively start behaving bizarrely. Or that Leonard McCoy, the new doctor, would be quite so hard to ignore. And really, it could all be traced back to the fact that the wrong bed got delivered. Five teens meet in detention at George Kirk Memorial Preparatory School: Jim Kirk, perpetual misfit. Spock, star of the debate team, perpetually under pressure from his overachieving parents. Nyota Uhura, linguistics expert and resident ice princess. Pavel Chekov, small, brilliant, utterly incapable of fitting in. Gaila, an escaped Orion slave who doesn't fit in and doesn't want to. From Variety, June 2008:
Pavel Chekov ("Charlie X") and Gaila ("Bread and Circuses") have joined the cast of small budget drama "That Which Survives," funded by Fleet's indie arm Academy and supervised by Nyota Uhura.
The debut feature from longtime script doctor Leonard McCoy, former show runner on sitcom "Three to Tango," centers on a college student coping with his father's terminal cancer. Chekov plays the son, Gaila the nurse. The father is yet to be cast.
Also attached are director James T. Kirk and producer Spock, the team behind the blockbuster spy-girl franchise starring Carol Marcus, the latest of which, "A Taste of Armageddon," opened last month.

    Summary

Captains' Yeoman are traditionally assigned based upon the gender-preference of their CO: heterosexual males get other men and so forth, with biologically incompatible non-humans for the Kinsey 1s-5s. With his reputation, Jim Kirk can't help but wonder whether someone wants to sabotage his command when they keep Janice Rand in her post; later, he'll say as much to Pike, along with the part where this had to break about thirty different regs, and he won't be able to keep a straight face at the answer: "Not if you don't sleep with her, Captain." This is not that story. This is the story of how Jim Kirk and Janice Rand meet for the first time.

    Summary

Short: Spock Prime tries to persuade his younger self to join the Enterprise by offering him a 'vid from the future.

Long: So, there was this scene involving William Shatner that was ultimately cut from the Star Trek XI script. Spock Prime was going to show younger Spock a message from Kirk Prime to try and persuade him to join the ship. I took this idea and played with it a bit: instead of Kirk, Spock gets to view the messages of the entire Enterprise.
