Summary
The events of the successful revolution of 1832 and the institution of the Second French Republic have a ripple effect throughout Europe. 10 years later, several countries are going topsy turvy, and foreign relations are getting strained. To help resolve this, the French diplomatic corps dispatches some of its youngest, best and most radical to help smooth things over. As a result, Enjolras gets a sensitive mission to the Mediterranean, while Eponine gets a dispatch to England. When ghosts of the past collide with the problems of the present, will France's dynamic (or notorious) duo make it through?

Summary
“But what is Feliciano to me?” Lovino asked. “Do you see him among the Children of Byzantium? He is fairer, richer, more decadent—I bear more resemblance to you than him, and besides that, we were apart so long that I scarcely know him. By blood he is my brother, but by every other measure, he is a stranger. You and I were children together; do not forget that I was witness to your birth. The blood of that occasion, and the blood of the conquests that bound us together, run thicker than the blood of Rome.”
Herakles felt himself edging closer to the whirlpool.
The year is 1859, and in the wake of Sardinia's desire to unify Italy, Lovino sees disaster coming. The rest of the Italian states lay dead, dying, or doomed while Feliciano has fled Venice to lick Sardinia's boots. The only way to ensure his own survival, Lovino reasons, is to kill that rabble-rousing Sardinia, and, like Romulus killed Remus, strike down Feliciano. In this task he implores the aid of the newly-independent Herakles, who is desperate to kill Sadik and avenge his mother. Together, the two set off to create a new heaven and a new earth, a new Rome and a new Constantinople, against all the odds.
