Hector Dixon has been married to his wife Athena for the past 10 years and they have 3 children together. Hector is quite happy with his job as an assassin after all it pays well and allows the family a luxurious lifestyle. However, as his 40th birthday approaches Athena thinks it may be time for her husband to settle down and begin enjoying the quiet life. Hector isn't so sure. The thought of being at home with his wife and kids for extended periods never sat well with him after all a man needs his space. It isn't until an unlikely event occurs that he begins to realize that maybe retiring isn't such a bad idea.

Like the film, my story is set in the late 1990s, when internet dating was not yet a common thing, very few people owned a cell phone, and chain bookstores and independents were at war. Takes place between fall of 1997 and late summer 1998, in New York City.
