This series started to fulfill a request for a PWP sequel to Cookouts and Campfires. I just couldn't leave it there, though. What it turned into was a little bit of everything. It's basically a partly happy, partly angsty romance. I wanted to explore a little bit about what it might have been like to be an invisible minority in an occupation where being that minority would likely meet with very little acceptance. At the end, I realized things came out much too rosy for these guys, so I threw in some bumps.
