Summary
Prompt: Loki is Asgard's secret agent and diplomat/spy. His family are aware and love him and work with him, so he actually has confidence in himself and what he does. The rest of Asgard is not and thinks he's the useless prince, Thor's friends included. At some point, Loki and the four are stuck in a very long drawn out situation where all of Loki's skills, in diplomacy, spying, secret agent ninja-ness, magic, and just all around awesomeness come out to the W3 only. Where Loki earns their respect and friendship and loyalty as much as Thor has. And they earn his.
"Sometimes Loki wishes that people in other realms were just as stupid as they are in Asgard. It really isn’t fair that the people he has to work against are more intelligent and interesting then the people he protects. But that is really just his bitterness at the situation talking. He hates Nidavellir. He hates the Warriors Three. Common sense, really, that he would hate being sent to Nidavellir with them. Especially when he needs to get some damn work done and here they are, cornered by Dwarves with magic repelling weapons and just tipsy enough to believe that killing a prince of Asgard and his companions wouldn’t be a bad idea."

Summary
The All-father heard the creature before he saw it.
He finds himself at a temple. Marvelous and completely construct of ice. Parts lay on the icy, stone floor in shambles. Altars have been crushed and pillars laid to ruin. Behind large, perilous ruins he finds the creature he hunts; a tiny blue babe.
Odin cradles the thing, and instantly the babe stops crying.
“Have you known a friendly face, child?” Odin asks, but the only answer he receives is a pathetic whimper as the Frost baby stares up at him with untrusting crimson eyes, glossy with a coating of thick tears.

Imagine a few years from now, Loki and Natasha Romanov are married and have a daughter named, Linnea - a ballerina, magician and mythologist. Thor and Jane are the same with their daughter, Kayra - mythologist and working astrophysicist. Tony and Pepper adopted Zachary. Steve meets Sharon and Bruce and Clint are still working away, still having to meet their perfect partner. Although, it's not all family for these people. Linnea and Kayra were born into the Avengers way of life, and Zachary was brought into it which means they will of course be targetted by enemies.

Summary
In a small town, Thor, Loki, and their pack stumble across a the dead body of a hunter in their territory. Not wanting to be wrongly framed for a murder, they attempt to track down the culprit and clear their name. This becomes harder and harder for them to handle as a hunter and his father move in and begin to stick their nose into where it doesn't belong.
Ratings and warnings are bound to change as the story develops.

A what if story, featuring the death of Odin. Odin dies trying to explain to Loki about the deception of his birth. Loki, suddenly the King of Asgard, must learn to be something he isn't. Thor must learn to be human, without ever knowing what is it to be a hero. (Starts off in Thor, and spans Iron Man 2 and the Avengers with some seriously dramatic plot differences).

Post Avengers slow burn meets trip down memory lane with a side of angst and a dash of gore. Odin's A+ parenting is at least a B-, Frigga is not to be trifled with, Thor has no idea what the hell to do but he shall provide a valiant effort, and Loki adjusts to see where all the players fall on the board, and what exactly Thanos has planned for him now that he's failed. Or how a pair of gods learned to stop bullshitting and face some uncomfortable music.

Written for a Norsekink prompt. AU. When no one comes to their rescue on Jötunheimr, Loki is forced to lead Thor, Sif, Hogun, Volstagg and Fandral through his secret paths between worlds. To the surprise of his friends: it's a lot more dangerous than they ever suspected. Loki's either very brave or very crazy to travel the Underworld and the Dreamlands. Crossover with the Cthulhu mythos (specifically, Lovecraft's Dream Cycle).
