In a slightly different timeline, two great men with a shared past meet for one last time a few months after the battle of Waterloo.

Is this part of my Unmixable-verse? I don't know. It surely can be read that way. It can be read separately from it. You choose.

    “What are you doing?”

Percy Shelley didn’t look up from the thick book he was thumbing through. “What’s it look like?”

Lord Byron hummed, and leaned on the wall above where Percy was lounging in a window seat, reading by the watery daylight. “Can I distract you?”

    Summary

In the Battle of Poitiers, the English scatter and break the French army, and the King of France himself is taken prisoner by Edward of Woodstock, the Black Prince. Sirs Dean and Sam Winchester find themselves the captors of the highly born French knight, Sir Castiel de Coucy, who just doesn't seem willing to be all mannerly and play the game of honourable imprisonment - but who is strangely fascinated by the hand-shaped burn on Dean's upper arm.
... okay, forget summarising: basically this is an excuse to have them all as medieval knights, smouldering at each other. Then having sex. Plus indulging my language kink. And having Jo as Dean's wife deciding spontaneously to cross the Channel to come join her husband and friends in the war, and Kevin and Charlie as Sam and Dean's squires, just because I am a medievalist and I have decided that this is actually historically plausible and I feel like saying 'screw you' to modern removal of POCs and women from medieval European history. Sound good? Excellent! Let's go!
