Sherlock (BBC), John/Sherlock, PG-13, ~5200 words
Wherein John and Sherlock have been dating for a long time, almost as long as it takes to figure out that they are. Summary
Title: the bells put out their tongues
Fandom: Death Note
Pairing: Light/L
Rating: Strong R to NC17
Notes: L's last 24 hours. Including, but not limited to: sex, copious use of flashback, the insufferable ringing of bells, accidently-on-purpose broken cell phones, waffles, tapioca pudding, donuts, cake. Then, possibly more cake. Then, possibly more sex.

"Thirty-nine days to take down France? Exactly?"
"Forty-two to finalize the surrender," Ludwig corrects, somewhat hastily. "We have to take potential delays and formalities into account."

He's not sure what wakes him that night, but once he's there, he's awake, so he pulls on a t-shirt and pads down to the kitchen to find milk. The kitchen feels cold, empty. Lonely. Steve pours a glassful of milk, sets it in the microwave, and rubs absently at his eyes as the little machine hums to life. It takes a moment to realize what he's missing – the smell of coffee. He peers at the coffee maker, tries to tell if it's been recently used. There aren't dishes in the sink, and Tony never puts his own away… Frowning, Steve leaves his milk to itself and heads back upstairs to Tony's room. It's locked to Tony's fingerprints – all their bedrooms allow only them access, as per safety protocol – but when Steve trails his fingers over the touchpad, the door clicks open.
