In the new regime of the Ministry of Magic, Hermione Granger has worked hard to become Alderman, working directly under Chancellor Blaise Zabini.
Draco Malfoy has lived these past eight years in exile in the muggle world, struggling to come to terms with his fate and constantly longing to live with magic again. When he gets the chance to become bodyguard for Alderman Granger, he sees that this is his one and only chance to find out what really happened all those years ago at his trial that he knows was dirty.
When Hermione and Draco come together they realize that their lives are destined to be tangled together in more ways than one. And with the challenge of a new, mutual enemy on the horizon, will they stand together and fight, or will they let old prejudices hold fast?
