Summary
This isn’t a sacrifice, Boyd. This isn’t the fall of a desperate man. It’s a decision. Plain and simple. Because the alternative is something I can’t even contemplate.
Through the hills and the hollers and the ever present sun and sand of Miami, these three are drawn to each other, and they'll do anything to hold fast.
In the final installment, Raylan embarks on a new life with Boyd and Ava and Art Mullen investigates just why his old friend would leave the Marshals behind.

Summary
Raylan thinks back to a happier time in the holler.
Just a little story that came to me while listening to bluegrass tunes.
Lyrics from “I'll Fly Away” are not mine-- in fact, they belong to Alison Krauss and Gillian Welch--but I like em, and they fit, so I figured what the hey.

Summary
Beta'd by the lovely norgbelulah (thank you so much) and written after some prodding (yeah right - I needed like...0% encouragement to write this *G*) from sardonicynic. This is kind of a companion piece to The Lord of War and Thunder, in which we see Raylan's life as a young adolescent. You don't have to read it to understand what's happening, but the point is that something had to have happened, something had to have changed within Raylan to go from being the passive recipient to someone who started fighting back. This is that moment. Title taken from an Imagine Dragons song, Radioactive.
