Summary
Jessica loved cheesy horror movies and ghost stories, but she didn't believe in any of it. They were college kids, having fun on a summer vacation. All that talk about the house being haunted was just joking around. When one of her friends had a frightening accident, it didn't seem so funny any more. And just why did Jessica's brand-new boyfriend, Sam, insist on buying so much salt?

Summary
Two years after X3, Erik Lehnsherr, formerly Magneto, is haunted by the specter of a young Charles Xavier, a creation of his own mind to punish him for his failures and filled with the bitterness he thought Charles always should've felt towards him.
“You’re worthless.”
The proper British accent dripped with bitterness. I didn’t even need to look. I knew Charles would be leaned against the wall looking at me coolly. Young, vibrant Charles with working legs and wavy chestnut hair and bright blue eyes full of bitterness that I put there. Because this wasn’t really Charles. Charles was dead and gone. This was the Charles my mind created and my mind is a dark, ugly place.

"You're sleeping in your car."
"...yeah," Kris tries not to sound defensive.
"Outside a gay bar at 2 a.m."
"Yeah."
"You really don't have any place to go, do you?"
"No, I do, I just. I can't go back there at night," Kris admits softly, unable to meet Adam's eyes. -

Notes
Neat little post-war world. We are only told what happened insofar as it relates to the characters now, which is very interesting storytelling. Features Parvati as a madam and Harry as an... accountant?

Summary
It sounded like such a good idea; of course it backfires spectacularly.
