It’s expensive being a Dark Lord. Nearly everything you do, or want to do, costs money. What better way to gather funds than to force donations? Voldemort kept accounts of his spending. Not quite patient enough for Goblins and gold and vaults, he instead used the Muggle alternative. It seemed to be all Muggles were good for, because it meant that Wizards, and the Ministry in particular, would not get their hands on it. Just in case, the Dark Lord destroyed all records of his accounting, using something that was better than a safe, better than books. Only, no one knows what it was and, after five years, the money’s become a myth. Now a secret sector of the Ministry is after it and only a member of their own can stop them.

The Ministry is very sorry that its latest mistake—an artifact that was supposed to let Aurors detect lies—blew up on Harry, and now he can detect lies every time someone tells one. (Inquiries are continuing). The Ministry is also sorry that they can’t tell Harry how long the effect would last. (Unspeakables are working around the clock). And the Ministry would probably be two times sorrier if they knew that Draco Malfoy has hired Harry to find his father, who’s escaped from Azkaban. (The Chosen One should be able to have a full and normal life).

Dealing with Snape's cruel and unusual punishments, the tension knowing Voldemort's back but being unable to talk or do anything about it, some how being transported to a pirate ship at the most inopportune of moments and dodging some secret and some no-so-secret admirers. Oh and trying to deal with his sexuality and the cute Slytherin he randomly keeps seeing around dressed in either full pirate regalia or wizarding robes. Its no wonder he keeps relying on the gift he got from a mysterious benefactor on his birthday to keep sane. Until it starts talking back.
