Notes
"Your point being? Why does everybody think the 'philanthropist' part is just thrown in there to sound good?" He means to leave it at that, but Steve shoots him a look, and Tony sings like a canary. "What, what, what was I supposed to do? The kids are there, they're seeing Santa, they've got visions of whatever dancing in their heads, their parents are too busy trying to feed them, and then there's you. So they wake up Christmas morning, they don't get what they asked Santa for, they're scarred for life, and they think Captain America let it happen."

Summary
D/s World AU. Tony was Obadiah's abused Sub since he was a teenager, something that even after Obadiah's death no one knew about. Tony doesn't know how to be in a healthy relationship and is terrified of having another bad one, so he decides that he'll simply remain on his own; lonely, but giving himself the feeling of safety that was beaten out of him for twenty-odd years. Then he meets Captain America and the two of them Bond; Steve is ecstatic, Tony has a breakdown.

Summary
His costume designer might be an actual mobster, his lighting guy is desperately incompetent, his two lead actors alternatively want to kill and make out with each other, they don't have a budget to speak of, his stage manager keeps trying to hand in her resignation, and seriously, this is what Phil Coulson gets for going to art school.
It's the Avengers. Only . . . instead of saving the world, they're performing--or not performing, as it were--Shakespeare. Because this is actually the sort of thing that goes on in my head.

Summary
The Avengers (who aren't quite The Avengers yet) are in their unforgiving teenage years, ready to leave behind their homes and move somewhere that might be a little more forgiving, and a little less lonely. (Boston does have, after all, the highest concentration of young people – all searching for something in one way or another.)

Summary
Tony has been held by Stane since his escape from Afghani terrorists, marked dead in the eyes of the world while Stane is free to use his mind, inventions, and company as he sees fit. Tony feels there's nothing he can do and has resigned himself to death to save those he loves. That would be when JARVIS lets Captain America stumble into his old lab.
This is Tony's part of Ghost in the Wires, and probably will not make sense if you haven't read that one.

Summary
Stark – Tony – looks over at him and smiles, and there's something so sweet in that smile that Steve feels sucker-punched, feels like he can't breathe, he can't think, because who knew that Tony Stark could smile like that, open and amused and affectionate? “Yeah?” Tony says, teasing, and Natasha cuffs the back of his head.
