Summary
High School is either the best of times or the worst. There's teenage romance, fitting in, finding after school activities, not to mention the drama in the teacher's lounge. The school's chess club becomes a haven of misfits and mutants. Multiple pairings and we take characters out of all Marvel as we feel like it, but mostly focused on X-Men and the Avengers. This is a series of one-shots over the four years of high school, dealing with both students and the teachers and administration ((The last of which is Tony Stark and his quest to avoid his vice-principal)).

In which Charles Xavier has a glass jar of wonder that's filled with paper stars of all colors. His sister Raven helps out sometimes.
Erik Leshnerr has a tin jar filled with monotone greys, whites, and brown colored stars in it, from newspaper scraps and scrap paper that he manages to find, or a napkin or two that happen to be in the wrath of his anger.
They don't know it, but their little ticks and hobbies might lead them to meeting.
Maybe they'll catch their own paper stars, or maybe they'll catch the real ones instead.

He's got good friends, a nice place, and an ex he doesn't like to talk about, because that is a wound that time isn't going to heal. But when he gets an unexpected visitor, one Phil Coulson, who informs him that Howard and Maria Stark died recently in a car crash, leaving their 16 year old son, Anthony Stark, in Steve's care. Suddenly Steve's life doesn't make much sense any more - specially when he's dealing with a teenager who he remembers as a little kid clutching a soldier doll and pronouncing that he was going to marry Steve and become his wife. Written for this prompt at Xmen_firstkink: "Alex gets hurt during a battle, but hides it. It's just a silly sprain or cut, no need to burden himself on the others. And there were mutants who needed the medical attention more than him, it wasn't like it was serious or needed to be taken care of. He could do it himself, he had been taking care of himself for years.
However, the injury turns out to be worse than he thought it would be, but it's been days since it happened, and he didn't want anyone to make a fuss or get angry at him for taking up their time.
So the wound/injury festers until he seriously needs medical help.
Hank finds out and takes care of him and tells him that he doesn't need to hide his injuries or that he can go to others for help instead of doing things alone.

There were three of them, sitting on the cold plastic chairs in A&E at three a:m in the morning. The lights made every single one of them look dead and cold, pale and frumpy.
One of them had got a call at two oh five because his best friend had got to two and swallowed two packets of pills, or maybe three, just too many pills, and then changed her mind.
One of them had driven himself here while high on more things than he should have been and he was convinced he was dying and now he was sitting in this little chair having decided he probably wasn’t dying and he was just slowly switching between freaking out and zoning out.
One of them had gotten into something he shouldn’t have and then his brother had got involved in order to save him, and now his brother was the one who’d paid the price and he had to sit here and wait to know if he would survive the night.
