    Brendon's a little in love with Lieutenant Spencer Smith. And not, like, fifteen-year-old girl love, either, but the kind of love where his chest hurts and he wants to be around him constantly and he wants into his pants, and okay. It pretty much sounds like fifteen-year-old girl love, but it's not, no matter what Ryan says. Spencer is just. Pretty. And competent and, okay, the sidearm is totally sexy. He didn't think he'd ever go for that, but the handling of it, his hands, really, and the thigh holster? Makes Brendon want to lick him. A lot.

    Spencer didn't actually look at anyone who came to browse, didn't care, never did. It was all the same, even if the faces changed. Not all places were like Saporta's, the vast majority were a direct opposite but they all looked like perfectly respectable people....if respectable meant in favor of owning people and forcing them to get their hands dirty so you don't have to.

    Six months after Brendon somehow managed to convince his new owner, Baronet Beckett, and household manager McCoy to rescue (read: buy) Spencer from a traveling sales house, Spencer is still trying to remember how "calm" and unobtrusive everyne is. It's a daily struggle that Spencer usually loses, but it's getting harder to stay guarded around this bunch, especially when they've taken to pandering to Brendon's whims and Bob's become some sort of stoic personal guard. Still yet, Spencer can't shake the lessons experience has taught him or the painful reminder that Ryan and Jon are still lost somewhere, possibly too far away to be found.
