Originally written for the 2008 Bujold Fest over at the LJ. The prompt was: "Ivan being competent and surprisingly intelligent on Barrayar while Miles is unavailable during his honeymoon." I did manage to work a bit of that into the fic (but not all that much). It became a story about Ivan, Gregor and Miles instead. -
