Summary
"This place is a dump," Gojyo said, looking around.
He wasn't wrong. The unmistakable smell of mould curled through the rooms. The floorboards creaked and groaned under every step. The kitchen had been ransacked. Every pot and pan and plate—some of them still containing dried crusts of what had once presumably been food—had been pulled from the tables and cupboards and onto the floor. Clothes were flung about the bedroom; they lay collapsed on the rotting rugs like dead bodies, all covered in dust.
The owner, Mr Chan, stood next to Hakkai. He had a sooty black mole on his bald head. It wasn't a youkai mark. "The last people left in a hurry. I couldn't find any one to rent during the—bad time." He darted his gaze away from Hakkai and fixed it on the mess on the floor.
"It'll take a lot of cleaning," Hakkai said. "I like it."

Summary
Gills flared open and closed at the creature's neck, and opalescent webs stretched wide between long, tapered fingers and toes. His skin looked eerily smooth, and it gleamed in the faint moonlight, completely hairless below the neck. His eyes were wide, dark red, and flecked with gold, with only a small oval of pupil in the center. When he blinked, a white membrane slid across his eyes just before the lids closed.

Summary
"I'm sorry," Hakkai murmurs into his ear once they're alone in his room at the inn that night.
"Yeah, right." Gojyo stubs out his cig for politeness' sake and turns around in the circle of Hakkai's arms. "You don't look very sorry."
Hakkai is smiling, and his green eyes are almost smug from this close. "Oh dear. Surely I can make it up to you somehow?" His hands slide down very deliberately from Gojyo's waist to his ass, where they indulge in a possessive squeeze.

He flicked his hair from his eyes and reached out for Hakuryuu, who fluttered his wings and backed away.
"You can't just wake up as a lady," Goku said
"Well, yes I can, it seems."

Gojyo looks up when the little bell over the door rings, because fresh patrons mean fresh opponents, and Gojyo needs somebody to take money from.
The rain gods have seen fit to bless, apparently, because the guy who walks in has 'easy mark' stamped all over him. He's soaked to the bone and a little wide-eyed as he takes in the neon bar with its neon bar-girls-- tired and bored-looking bar-girls, because it's midnight and there's a small typhoon blowing outside, and there hasn't been anyone new in for hours.

Gojyo and Hakkai in Bangkok on a rainy night. (And it's all my fault, really ... )

Summary
It turned out that Hakkai had the whole top floor to himself, a real, honest-to-god penthouse. Gojyo toed off his shoes in the entryway and couldn't help but feel rough around the edges, suit or no. The white carpeting was thick and soft under his feet, spotless, and there was actual artwork on the walls. It made the poster of dogs playing poker tacked up in the living room he shared with his roomie seem sort of... base, in comparison. Shit, and here he'd thought he had a pretty swank pad.
