Summary
Gimli, a Dwarf among many living in Erebor, just wants to write a fic of mind-blowing proportions. That's all. And maybe gain a few more followers on tumblr. That's it. He's not anything special, doesn't have that many readers, isn't very outgoing at school but this is because he doesn't need to (he's awesome). Also his cousins won't stop bothering him.
Then along comes this beta reader who is surprisingly good at what they do. And Gimli grows a bit attached to them, reluctant as he is to admit it, even if they have an odd love for kittens and trees and knitting patterns. But, by Mahal's beard, that amount of snark shouldn't be legal even on the internet!

In which Bilbo is basically this universe's equivalent of an Austrian and finally realises his dream to open a coffee house (not shop. House). He employs Legolas and Boromir to work for him, and a few months later he is forced to notice that he has built his café in front of a huge company building. Who might that belong to?
Aka: The one in which Thorin is the owner of a huge company called Erebor, all the dwarves somehow ended up working for him, and Smaug is trying to take over his family business.

One day he meets a regal dwarf, who he thinks is a thief and trespasser, and throws an apple at his head, never knowing he’s just assaulted the dwarven Prince. Thus begins the antagonistic and somewhat odd courtship of a hobbit and the next King of Erebor.

Thorin, having seen his grandfather and father killed, has an ever burning desire for vengeance and to see their fortunes restored, while Smaug would prefer to see the job he started decades ago finally finished. Fili, while apperciating his duty to his family, would really rather attend the college classes he pays for and Bilbo Baggins...

for the Hobbit kink meme prompt while Legolas is at boarding school Thraduil buys the Mirkwood Manor and it's in desperate need of renovating. The inside is taken care of and then when Legolas comes home for summer vacation Thranduil has hired a landscaping group called The Mt. Company Landscapers. Due to his hectic school schedule and his father running in and out on business Legolas hasn't been able to get his license and is stuck at home. To ease his loneliness Legolas starts taking out refreshments to the rowdy crew. Then Gloin brings his son Gimli, who's about Legolas' age, to help work. The two end up spending a lot of time together.
