    Summary

There's three things pretty much everyone's sure of. One, there's a General Election coming up. Two, it's going to come down to two people. Three, those two people-David Cameron and Ed Miliband- will never, ever, stop arguing. Ever. It's impossible. And it's certainly impossible that the two of them could ever, possibly, willingly spend time together. It's impossible that you could start to enjoy spending time with the one person who disagrees with you on everything. It's impossible that you could find yourself confiding in your political rival. It's absolutely, completely, unutterably impossible that you could find yourselves maybe, possibly, navigating something together that might be more than just friendship.
    Impossible. Of course.
Then again, impossibility isn't what it used to be.

Epic Camerband fic, set from autumn 2014 onwards to some point in the near future. Overlaps with General Election and real-life events. A story of politics, awkward friendship, something more than awkward friendship and too much arguing.
    (No, really. Too much arguing.)

    Summary

There's two years between them, and two different votes, and two different leaders and two different outcomes; but then through all of it, they are the same.
(But they're not quite the same.)
(And two years can change more than a vote.)

Set over the course of the two Syria votes in 2013 and 2015, and their very different outcomes. Camerband.

    Summary

""Anyway-" and perhaps it's those thoughts about Miliband's mouth that make him come out with it. "I've proven in the past my other abilities have a habit of dominating yours'-" Miliband's eyebrow arches and that's when David comes out with the really stupid bit. "So, presuming yours' are satisfactory, it'd probably be the case here too."
Oddly enough, the first thing that bothers David about this sentence is his own use of the word dominating. The second is the rest of it."

David Cameron supposes it might be rather undignified to be competing with the former Leader of the Opposition. In which Ed is an awkward geek who can be rather surprising, David always takes the joke too far and there's a question that urgently needs to be rectified.

    (Also, it's probably Nick's fault. It's always Nick's fault.)

"And yet you seemed quite certain when you assumed I wouldn't ask you out."

Ed Miliband might not be Leader of the Opposition anymore. That doesn't mean he and David Cameron have stopped arguing. Camerband. Inspired by a prompt for a fic entirely in dialogue.

    Summary

David is lovesick. George is annoyed. Ed is stubborn, private, workaholic, commitmentphobic; an accident-prone communist genius with comically large glasses and blossom in his hair; a rather sweet-seeming chap; probably created for the express purpose of resting his head in David's lap in the quiet hours of Sunday afternoons; not some sort of backrub prostitute, and a few other things besides.

    Summary

"The thing was, he'd thought it would always be the three of them; and he hadn't realised then that the three of them was something you only got for a short time, once, before they were pulled away in a slipstream of power, tossed onto opposite sides again, the way they were always meant to be."

As David Cameron waits for his first PMQs with Jeremy Corbyn, he reflects on the era he's still desperately trying to cling onto, even as it vanishes. Or more specifically, the two people he's still trying to cling onto. Angsty Clamerband. Inspired by the song "Wildest Dreams" by Taylor Swift.

    Summary

"He can feel Miliband's gaze, heavy as a touch, and eventually, he lifts his eyes to the other boy's, and manages, his voice thinner and more defensive than he would have liked, "Anyway, I thought you hated me."
Miliband blinks. "Only because you hate me." One of the perils of boarding school are the nightly restrictions. Another is getting stuck outside for the night with the one person you're most likely to end up murdering by morning.
In which David and Ed spend the night in a shed, argue, find a few things they agree on, argue, play drinking games, argue, and discover they might not hate one another after all. And argue. Camerband, Boarding School AU.

    Summary

"Sometimes, when they walk back to their hotel rooms, they linger for a moment, their hands brushing each others' elbows and George pretends that Balls' eyes don't linger on his mouth for a moment and inside his hotel room, he pretends he doesn't wonder what it would be like."
They try not to let it fit past the figures and the business and the arguments, and they try not to let themselves think why. Written for prompt about relationship between George Osborne and Ed Balls. Osballs and background Camerband.

    Summary

William shakes his head. "Not again."
"This is the third time in an hour" says Michael, looking at his watch to emphasize the point.
"It's going to be frightfully embarrassing if this gets out, David" points out Boris, who in the face of the seriousness of the situation, has taken the drastic step of using words with less than twenty-five letters.
David sighs. This was the sort of awkward situation that arose from having the Chancellor of the Exchequer as your best friend. You couldn't send an aide in to deal with personal issues."
George has some habits. They need to be dealt with. Now. Prompted by it being revealed that George Osborne keeps light sabers in the treasury.

    Summary

"Ed-" David steps closer to him and Ed shakes his head, meeting David's eyes with an anguished look. "I-I've ruined everything" he whispers and that's when David tightens his hand on Ed's shoulder and presses their foreheads together. "No, you haven't.""

At first, it's just talking. Then it's working. Then it's phone calls. Then it's laughing and watching and not saying. It's something more and it's up to David and Ed to figure it out between them. Camerband. Written for a prompt of David and Ed ending up in a relationship months after the election.
