    Summary

There's three things pretty much everyone's sure of. One, there's a General Election coming up. Two, it's going to come down to two people. Three, those two people-David Cameron and Ed Miliband- will never, ever, stop arguing. Ever. It's impossible. And it's certainly impossible that the two of them could ever, possibly, willingly spend time together. It's impossible that you could start to enjoy spending time with the one person who disagrees with you on everything. It's impossible that you could find yourself confiding in your political rival. It's absolutely, completely, unutterably impossible that you could find yourselves maybe, possibly, navigating something together that might be more than just friendship.
    Impossible. Of course.
Then again, impossibility isn't what it used to be.

Epic Camerband fic, set from autumn 2014 onwards to some point in the near future. Overlaps with General Election and real-life events. A story of politics, awkward friendship, something more than awkward friendship and too much arguing.
    (No, really. Too much arguing.)

    Summary

Original story following the trials and tribulations of Elizabeth Nelson, a hopeful young activist who finds herself at the heart of British politics. However, the lies and dangerous faces that come hand in hand with power begin to tear everything she has worked for away.
OC story entirely formed in my head after posing the question 'What if there had been a woman at the heart of New Labour?'.

And at once I knew I was not magnificent
    Strayed above the highway aisle
    Jagged vacance, thick with ice
And I could see for miles, miles, miles

This is the way things have been for six years, and one day, one day when his children are his age and their children are their age, this will be the way things were once.
That's the way it will be, he supposes, and the way it always is.

My love is strengthened, though more weak in seeming
I love not less, though less the show appear
That love is merchandized, whose rich esteeming
The owner's tongue doth publish everywhere

    Summary

"It's a mixture of Miliband whimpering and irritation at Miliband's clear lack of trust in him and perhaps something else, that same impish something that sometimes jabs out those jibes at PMQs that makes him bite his lip and then say "There might be an easier way to go about this.""

In which Ed has a PMQs-induced injury, David has ingenious solutions and medication-induced confessions are Not Advisable For Politicians.
(And Ed hates the whole thing. Really.)

    Summary

"David wonders quite how he might one day have to explain to his grandchildren why he is spending the Christmas Eve of 2015, crouched in his car in Dartmouth Park, with George Osborne and Nick Clegg acting as the world's most reluctant carol singers, while he tries to scribble a Christmas-lighted whiteboard message to Ed Miliband, but he supposes it's one of those situations where you just have to be there."

David has a Christmas card problem. Nick and George are exasperated. Miliband is endearingly irritating. Boris and Jacob are maddeningly eloquent. And everyone else is convinced David has some ulterior motive for wanting to send a Christmas message to the former Leader of the Opposition. Camerband. (Could also be Cleggborne/Osballs if you squint.)

There's two years between them, and two different votes, and two different leaders and two different outcomes; but then through all of it, they are the same.
(But they're not quite the same.)
(And two years can change more than a vote.)

Set over the course of the two Syria votes in 2013 and 2015, and their very different outcomes. Camerband.

    Summary

""Anyway-" and perhaps it's those thoughts about Miliband's mouth that make him come out with it. "I've proven in the past my other abilities have a habit of dominating yours'-" Miliband's eyebrow arches and that's when David comes out with the really stupid bit. "So, presuming yours' are satisfactory, it'd probably be the case here too."
Oddly enough, the first thing that bothers David about this sentence is his own use of the word dominating. The second is the rest of it."

David Cameron supposes it might be rather undignified to be competing with the former Leader of the Opposition. In which Ed is an awkward geek who can be rather surprising, David always takes the joke too far and there's a question that urgently needs to be rectified.

    (Also, it's probably Nick's fault. It's always Nick's fault.)
