Summary
In a world where Thayet obtained the Dominion Jewel and swept through the Eastern Lands, bringing peace at the point of a sword, Jonathan of Conté, king of one of the last independent nations on the continent, had to choose between pride and the survival of his country.
He chose survival, but that doesn't mean anyone is thrilled with the situation.
Warning: This story contains consent issues inherent to a political marriage neither party is personally thrilled about, and may be triggering. It also contains what I suppose might be thought of as infidelity, although this is not really a primary concern to anyone involved.
