Summary
Enjolras becomes a Residential Advisor for his last year at college. The freshmen on his floor are obnoxious and disruptive, but a bond between these residents slowly molds and takes shape. They laugh, they argue, they fall into the trappings of love, while Enjolras goes through the motions and avoids social interaction as often as possible. It's simply beneath him to engage in such frivolities.
But then a new resident joins their ranks, and Grantaire is not like the others. Not like anyone, really. He intrigues Enjolras in a way that cannot be described or quantified. The ground beneath Enjolras has stirred and Grantaire is reaching his hand out to steady him.
