Summary
“A girl lacks courtesy. A man is bathing.” Through the steam he flashes a smile.
“A man sent for a girl,” she replies methodically, “and a girl promised to obey.”
“Just so.” The water barely moves as he climbs out of the bath, and as he steps out of the steam she sees scars in strange places, places that girls never see but women do. She does not look away, but her blouse feels tighter, weighed down by steam. The water slides down his pale skin and she takes a step back. The smile flashes brighter.

If his shame was great at dreaming about her, it's nothing next to his shame at watching her, hovering behind a tree and peering through leaves and branches like someone depraved. He cannot quite see her fully from his angle, the creamy stretch of her thigh obscures her hand from his view, but he can see it moving, can see the teeth she sinks into her lower lip, the free hand that clutches the rock ledge beneath her.

summary: a re-write of sansa's story arc, mostly from her pov, exploring how things would have gone if she had a daemon. i have defended this character to so many people, but i still have the desire to give her agency beyond what she is allowed in the text - she has all this inner strength that she doesn't recognize for so long, and i think things would have gone differently for her if she had someone she could talk to and trust completely. plus, also, daemons!
warning: some sections are from joffrey's pov, because even though he's an evil little shit i wanted to give him some voice outside his ridiculously sadistic actions, and lbr, it would have been awful having robert for a father and i wanted to deal with that.
