Summary
At best what passed between Ffamran and Noah was by its very nature incidental, and provoked by an unsolicited consideration on Noah's part.

Summary
The once-knight remained silent as they wove through the streets to the Sandsea, and always one step to the right and one step behind. His shadowing silence grated on Balthier the way taunts or accusations did not. Any fool could shout accusations to the sky, the stones, the stupid: only those with conviction could abide in silence.

Summary
Perhaps everything passes precisely as it is meant to, his mother truly blinded those final days as she had been in Landis to not see what would pass. Noah holds as steady in pace as he had back then when Landis burned, fates guiding him, never stumbling, even here, up each damned flight of stairs that graces Tsenoble's highest walks, to where he will burn his mother's remains to ash.

Summary
Reality, tenuous at the best of times: Noah practiced all his life at how to stretch and hang reality between words and wisdom. Noah learned from books where Basch wrote his own. Noah administered their estates, a dutiful son when Basch ran wild. Noah's wisdom had them draw a profit each year when others lots failed. Noah's reality flowered with the fields, full of Basch's absence, reality crafted of words once spoken in anger, half-heard and recreated, old arguments reconstructed by Noah alone when Basch never came back.

Summary
In the aftermath of Bahamut's fall, Noah and Basch try to make peace with themselves, the world, each other, in the one place that is seemingly dedicated to peace: the temple at Mount Bur-Omisace. Meanwhile, the skypirate Balthier has suffered somewhat of a setback, namely, his accidental death. What could a pair of would-be uneasy priests have to offer a demon in search of his soul?

Summary
...they do not linger beyond the time it takes for a servant to capture Balthier's coat, brief greetings aired to resemble politeness. In the reading room, the chairs resemble thrones, the dark green leather flattering Balthier's frame and complexion, one reason why Basch nearly always brings him through to here. The near-feral nature of Balthier's outward mask, dark tan, sun-wild hair, the shift and stretch of limbs through an animal's unselfconscious range juxtaposes beautifully against Gabranth's walls of shelved law and order.
