They stand on a rooftop and she draws him three mazes. They drink coffee at a street cafe she doesn't recognize. And he tells her that they're dreaming. The first thing Ariadne thinks is that it really is like a Pensieve, being dropped into the middle of someone else's world without warning. The second thing she thinks is that it's like Legilimency when it's working properly, really working and you can see inside someone's head as clearly as if you'd opened a window and peered inside.

Summary
After dying in the Shrieking Shack, Severus Snape is sent back so that he can learn to be a functional human being. In spite of the strides he appears to make, he and his very own “Clarence” know that it’s mostly window-dressing.
Hermione Granger doesn’t regret the choices she made during the war, but that doesn’t stop her seeking some sort of absolution for some of the consequences. If she could let go of her guilt, she might learn to believe she’s got abilities beyond being a swot.
