After employees Richard and Mary Parker have to leave unexpectedly from their jobs at Stark Industries, they leave their son, Peter, in the care of their boss and friend, Tony Stark. Giving him only a warning about the importance of protecting their son and keeping their secrets safe, Tony goes on for the next 17 years raising Peter as his own.
When someone close to Peter dies, cryptic clues lead Peter to OSCORP, a division of Stark Industries catering to medical and evolutionary advances, he stumbles further onto secrets about his real parents and ultimately gains his spider-like abilities.
