An Erik/Charles story very loosely based on Marie de France’s 12th-century French werewolf tale, in which Erik is the man transformed into a wolf (he’ll get changed back by the end, it’s not that kind of story, though they very definitely do fall in love) and Charles is a king and eventually there’s a happy ending. Also, a villain’s nose gets bitten off.

He doesn't know Erik and Charles are in love.
I've demoted Shaw from king to an earl and only one of the boys is in love. Yet.The title is the first line of Radiohead's 'Climbing Up The Walls' which has nothing to do with the fic. Okay, maybe it has. A little.

Charles overdoes things with Cerebro; Erik panics; Erik and Charles have a discussion about what orders Erik can give and what orders Charles can realistically promise to obey. And then there is apologetic sex.
Series being written for utterlysorbine’s prompt of Erik and Charles are starting to negotiate a budding relationship - as dominant (Erik) and submissive (Charles). Whilst Charles is all for this, as someone who's been bred and raised to be in charge of any given situation, he can't help find the whole thing very awkward. Erik's happy to be patient with him - he just loves him and wants to look after him, even if Charles still isn't comfortable with being looked after.

Excerpt from chapter 33:
Charles was stable. That was the best news the doctors could provide, and as Erik stood by his friend's bedside, his arms were folded tight to his chest. Charles lay on the mattress, a starched white bed sheet draping him from chest to feet. His eyes remained open. His arms rested outside the covers with tubes protruding from his skin like he was a component of a machine and nothing more.
That was, after all, what Erik had reduced him to already. At the base.
Gingerly, Erik extended his hand. He wrapped his fingers around Charles' left wrist, just above the dark ring of purple staining his skin. Words ached in Erik's throat, but he didn't bother with any. He had been such a fool. He had allowed the other mutants to manipulate his better judgment, to make an enemy of their own kind like dogs eating each other.

So he decides to travel back in time and flirt with Charles Xavier. Erik Lehnsherr will be jealous and while the two old guys confess their feelings and live their life as one big happy mutant family he gets to kill the living atom bomb aka Shaw. Sounds fool-proof.

In which Charles inexplicably refuses to take his shirt off, and Erik can't see well enough through his adoration for Charles to understand that he might be a bit body conscious. In solving that particular mystery, though, Erik and Charles find out something a lot more unexpected.
Fic for a friend who requested shy and body-conscious Charles with over-protective Erik and mpreg Set in a slight AU where somehow everything in Cuba went down fine and they're all a big, happy (but more than a little dysfunctional) family.
Explicit rating for chapter 3, every other chapter is teen-friendly.

For a prompt involving Erik as a department-store Santa, and Charles as one of his elves...which my brain naturally decided meant the great late-Victorian era rise of Sears and Macy's and so on, plus epic hurt/comfort, misuse of H.G. Wells, hot cocoa, and falling in love.
