    Summary

    A collection of stories and drabble collections written about the characters I headcanon as autistic. I am autistic and write these fics as an attempt to increase the frankly shocking representation of autism in the media.

    These stories are about characters experiences with discovering their autism, stimming, interacting with their loved ones, dealing with ableism, coping with sensory issues and basically anything to do with being autistic.

    My autistic headcanons:
    * Tim (The Goodies)
    * Arthur Weasley
    * Hermione Granger
    * Neville Longbottom
    * Luna Lovegood
    * Ron Manager
    * Hershel Layton
    * Luke Triton
    * Pat Quid (Brian Pern)
    * The Doctor (Doctor Who)
    * Adric (Doctor Who)

    Content warning: These stories feature depictions of meltdowns and self-injurious stimming, as well as ableism and ABA-like behavioural therapy.

    Summary

    A series of stories focused on the characters I Headcanon as trans. These fics are about their experiences with (if they experience it) gender dysphoria, transphobia and the issues they face, as well as their relationships with the people who treat them the way they deserve.

    For the purpose of this series, trans is used as an umbrella term for anyone who isn't cis, including people who are transgender, non binary, agender, genderqueer and demigender (such as me; I am a demigirl).

    My headcanons:
    * Gilderoy Lockhart
    * Archie (The Fast Show)
    * George Smiley
    * Arthur Weasley
    * Molly Weasley
    * The Doctor (Doctor Who): Agender 1; genderqueer 2; genderfluid 3; nonbinary 4; and trans 5

    Summary

    Stories written about the characters I headcanon as mentally ill. I am mentally ill (depression, anxiety and OCD) and write these fics as an attempt to improve the appalling level of representation mentally ill people get in the media. Most importantly, I write about real mental illnesses, not the unrealistic and actually-harmful-to-mentally-ill-people ones depicted in the media.

    My headcanons:
    * Ralph Mayhew - OCD
    * Gilderoy Lockhart - Anxiety
    * Archie (The Fast Show) - Depression
    * George Weasley - Depression
    * Remus Lupin - Bulimia
    * Clive (Harry & Paul) - Depression
    * Ken Barnet - Anxiety
    * Martin Hole - Schizophrenia
    * Graham Downes - Agoraphobia
    * Bill (The Goodies) - Depression
    * The Doctor (Doctor Who) - PTSD
    * Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart - PTSD

    Summary

    A series of stories written about the Doctor, whom I headcanon as autistic. I am autistic and headcanon the Doctor as autistic because I see a lot of my autistic traits in him. All of the Doctor's incarnations are autistic, but the way his autism presents changes every time he regenerates.

    These stories all take place in the same AU. In this alternate universe, the Doctor has Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder from bullying and abusive ABA-like therapy when he was a child, and he is still struggling with anxiety and triggers several incarnations later. Being triggered causes the Doctor to panic and experience flashbacks, which in turn can cause meltdowns and shutdowns. The Doctor's various companions know about his autism and do their best to help him with his sensory issues and other challenges, as well as helping the Doctor unlearn the internalised ableism he struggles with after his abusive childhood.

    Content warning: These stories feature depictions of meltdowns and self-injurious stimming, as well as ableism and ABA-like behavioural therapy.

    Perfect perfect description of a shutdown - more horrible on the inside and harder to understand on the outside than meltdowns!
